Size 12 and Ready to Rock - Meg Cabot My Rating: 3.0 Obtained: Through Goodreads First Reads I had never expected to win a Meg Cabot book from goodreads First Reads since Meg Cabot is so popular, and for a good reason, so I was extremely happy to win. I had never read Meg Cabot's Heather Wells series since it's not exactly aimed for teens, so I didn't know what I was getting into. Just for the record, I hate starting a new series with anything later than the first book, which is the case I had with Size 12 and Ready to Rock, the fourth book in the Heather Wells series. I didn't know Heather's personality, or the history of her investigations, or how she and Cooper got together. When I first read a couple of chapters, about three chapters, I noticed that Heather Wells doesn't act her age. Instead, she acts like a teenager. A responsible teenager, but a teenager neverless. I have to give major credit to Heather though. She handled the whole Tania-stealing-her-ex situation pretty well. When Tania admitted her deep dark secret to Heather (that she was married and is still married), I would have went straight away to Jordan, blab it out, and feel extremely satisfied, especially with how Tania had stole her boyfriend. Instead, Heather was the bigger person and actually tried to help Tania out. One thing that majorly disappointed me in Size 12 and Ready to Rock was that the murderer was predicted/found very early in the book, about halfway. From then on, there wasn't any real suspense, just talking, talking, and more talking. And figuring stuff out. Overall, I want to read the third book in the series, Big Boned, just to see how Heather and Cooper got together. I have a feeling that it was very cute. ohdamnbooks: size 12 and ready to rock
